Day 173/365

Packing for San Francisco makes me very happy!

Day 172/365

Spent a beautiful day playing around Canton. We went to a bunch of Open Houses so we could get a feel for what you can get for the money down there. Wow, there are a lot of nice places down there. One had an awesome rooftop deck that had a beautiful view of the water one direction and of the downtown skyline the other direction. I love the whole feel of Canton.

Day 165/365

Started an amazingly beautiful Sunday by sleeping in. Then we headed up to the Watershed and took Tyler and Maggie for a hike in the woods. They loved it. Then we headed into Baltimore. We planned on hanging around Mt. Vernon, but nothin' was happening, so we headed to Fells Point to go to Liquid Earth, a cool veggie restaurant that has a Vegan Rueben that Steve wanted to try. I loved that place. Wish Frederick had a place like that. Then we headed into Canton, and quite frankly, we fell in love! We walked all over that cute neighborhood, then we headed down to the waterfront park. From there, we walked the path around the water and found some great places to hang out. We stopped at a Tiki Bar overlooking the water. We hung out there for a long time, contemplating what it would be like to live in Canton. We couldn't find a very compelling reason not to. I'm watching the week's Top Chef right now, so I won't list the very long list of reasons we should live there. But we may look into that in a serious fashion this spring.

Day 164/365

Steve and I were looking for something fun to do on a beautiful Saturday. We ended up heading into DC to go to a place called Busboys and Poets that I'd found online looking for a cool vegetarian spot. Boy did I find one. It's a combination restaurant, bookstore and internet cafe. It has a very cool vibe and they are all about promoting peace. When we pulled up, we noticed a festival going on right on the same street. Score! We had a yummy lunch, then walked around the 14th street area which was very cool. Then we headed over and listened to a band at the festival. The band was Fertile Ground and they were so good! What a great surprise. What a great day. We came home and watched The Soloist, which was really great. I tell you, Robert Downey, Jr is one helluva actor. And Jamie Foxx? Damn, he has come a long way from In Living Color. Great flick.

Day 163/365

Fair time in Frederick. Wow, is it a big deal here. I used to love the fair when I was a kid. Then, as a young adult, I liked it. Now, yes, no longer young, I just can't stand it. It makes me very sad. The animals are on display and everyone oohs and ahhhs over the cute pigs and cows. They just put on blinders and forget that the hot dog and hamburgers they are shoving down their throats are made up on from these cute animals. Of course, that's after they live a miserable life. Oh sorry, did I just say that out loud?

Cujo trying to get his new monkey. I was holding it over his head. He loves that thing and we had fun playing. It's not as dangerous as it looks, lol!

Day 159/365

Got in bed and realized I hadn't taken a picture, even though I'd thought about it like an hour before. So, here is what you get for today. Don't get so excited, it's just my clock.

Day 152/365

Had a great day! We decided to do something altogether different today and ended up playing slots at Charles Town. Not really my cup of tea usually, but we had a really fun time. Way too smoky though. On the way home, we stopped and played some pool. And doesn't Steve look cool wearing my glasses? Sexy, no?

Day 151/365

Have had a great day so far. Steve and I took the dogs for a walk this morning. Then we headed to Montgomery Mall because I needed some stuff from Sephora (one of my happy places). Then we went to Lilypons for their Koi and Wine Festival and Dock Dogs show. It was a lot of fun to watch the dogs jump, but it was really sunny and my new antibiotic makes me uber sun sensitive, so we didn't stay for all the long. The Koi and Wine Festival was lame, so we kinda just walked thru it. We stopped for some errands on the way home then grabbed the pooches and went out to the Trail at Ballenger Creek. Maggie and Ty had so much fun playing in the water. And it was good therapy for Mag's leg. Now we are home and Steve is going to grill some veggie burgers for Labor Day and I'm guessing we'll spend the remainder of this BEAUTIFUL day on our patio.

Day 150/365

Had a family reunion today at Billy and Diane's. It was great to see everyone. Here is me and my dad. After the reunion, we stopped by Dan and Yeon's for an wonderful evening. Love those guys.

Day 149/365

STILL have bronchitis and I am damn sick of it. I get really short of breath really easily. Went back to the doctor today where she gave me a neb treatment and not one, but TWO shots of steroids. She also gave me a stronger antibiotic. I'm tired of being tired. Spent the night on the couch with my honey. Played some Wii Sports Resort, which is A LOT of fun. But sadly, sword fighting made me short of breath. We played ping pong, skydived, wake boarded, sword fighted and played dog frisbee. Then I had to stop so Steve is bowling by himself. I love this thing, but wish I was well enough to do all these things for real!

Day 144/365

Really? I need to buy a cleaner to clean my washing machine? Doesn't it clean itself every time I use it. Damn. All these years with a dirty washing machine. How embarrassing.
