Day 141/365

Take THAT bronchitis. You have met your match. At least I hope you have.

Day 140 /365

Steve's cooking smelled so good last night that I had to take a picture of it. The other two are of Tyler. I know I post a lot of the furry ones, but I couldn't resist posting these.

Day 139 /365

There are only two people living in our house and yet we have 6 drinks on the table. 2 bottles of water, 2 Zazz seltzer waters and 2 diet cokes. Do we have a drinking problem?

Day 138 /365

When you haven't taken any pictures all day, just take one of what's closest to you. Luckily for me, that is a cute fuzzy bear.

Day 137 /365

Who says cats and dogs can't be buddies?

Day 136 /365

My bike, for the world to see.

Day 135 /365

Day 135 was Elin's 40th birthday. Went to a party at Amanda's. Was still sick, but had fun. Was home at 10pm and back on the couch. Here is the cool cake to celebrate the occasion.

Day 134 /365

I HATE being sick. I really do. Luckily I was off on Friday, so I stayed in bed really late then made it to the couch, where I stayed all day. Jake was very happy to have me on the couch all day. Here he is snuggling up.

Day 133/365

The hospital's featured demo meal yesterday was Greek Fries. Yes, waffle fries with "gryo meat". I think that is this is a less offensive way of saying, "you are eating a cute little lamb". It looked so gross, I thought I'd share it with you all...

On another, less gross note, Steve scored free tickets to the Colin Hay last night! I love, love, LOVE him! And free tickets rock. I've seen him several times solo, but never with his band. He was ROCKIN! It was a standing venue and we stood one row back, directly in front of him while he played a 2 HOUR set. It was so great! Here is da man...

Day 132/365

While sitting in a waiting room today, I picked up a magazine that had a story about the Jonas Brothers and their mom. I'm not a fan (I swear), but I started browsing thru the article. There was a paragraph about their decision to stay virgins until they are married and the chastity rings they wear. Their mom was talking about the fact that they get criticized because they don't have sex and this is a quote from her in the article (seen here very blurry):

"They don't want to go around giving everyone an STD. What so terrible about that?"

WHAT? They don't have sex because they don't want to GIVE people STDs? That is a strange reason to not have sex. I think both they AND their mom might benefit from some sex education classes.

Day 131/365

Got a new aloe plant. Hope I never have to use it!

Day 130/365

Got on my new Wii Fit today. So much fun!! Although it did make my back hurt. I think I did too many ski jumps. Oh well. I see the chiropractor on Wednesday.

Day 129/365

I've decided that I'm done with the unhealthy Lauren. One of the healthy changes in my life has been to drink more water. Lots and lots and lots of water. And then I drink more and more. I feel a bit like a fish.

Day 128/365

Today I went to Costco to get a Wii Fit. While there, I saw a display of CHRISTMAS RIBBONS IN AUGUST. Jesus, soon we will be forced to have Christmas crap out all year round.

Day 127/365

Steve got free tickets to see The Pretenders last night at the Warner Theater. Chrissy is so cool and she totally rocked it out last night. Her voice is still amazing. A fun time had by all. I got no good shots of the show, even though we were in the 20th row, center. But I took a picture of the woman in front of me, who I SWEAR had the same hair on her head that Tyler has on his hair pants. Same color, texture, everything. It made me lol.

Day 126/365

Just what every homeowner wants to see out their front door.

Thursday, August 13, 2009

Day 125/365

Tyler found his throne.

Tuesday, August 11, 2009

Day 124/365

Why do people feel the need to let their zucchini get so damn big. It's creepy and weird and I don't want to eat it. And why do they give it away to people at work? And why couldn't my husband just say, "No thanks, they are gross"?

Monday, August 10, 2009

Day 123/365

Say hi to Phred!

Day 122/365

Cats + Sun = Bliss

Sunday, August 9, 2009

Ruthie turned 30! Nancy threw her a surprise party.

Saturday, August 8, 2009

Day 120/365

Had the old gang over last night to see Gene. Had a really, really fun time. Haven't seen some of these guys in a very long time. Steve Swan even made it out. Mike ran into him recently, so we finally got a phone number for him. Here is the gang. We were missing a few. You know who you are!

Day 119/365

The Bradfords are in town! Here they are at dinner at Cafe Nola.

Wednesday, August 5, 2009

Day 118/365

Day 117/365

Guido's has the best fried food in town, hands down.

Monday, August 3, 2009

Day 116/365

Guess who bought a new lunchbag today.

Day 115/365

Had a great Sunday. Ran into Geri and Mike and Alicia and Matt. Had some drinks with them. Had my camera but didn't take any pics! Oops. So when I got home and realized it, I just shot the first thing I saw. The giant pepper...

Day 114/365

Steve got free tickets to see Paul McCartney at Fed Ex field. A Beatle...for Free?! Of course. So we headed out, grabbed dinner at Yuan Fu (yummmmmm) then headed down. We weren't interested in the opener, so we figured if we were in our seats by 8:30 or 9, we'd be fine. Well, the traffic was backed up on 495 past 270. It was actually the lead story on the news. We were going so late that we didn't think there'd be much traffic. WRONG. Then, once we got into the parking lot, it was about 40 minutes until they got us parked. I was so pissed. Well, we will leave it at that. But once we got in, it was amazing. Paul is 67 years old and rocks it like he did in the day. Amazing. And worth the traffic. Barely, but worth it. He sang tons of Beatles. I just couldn't believe I got to see a Beatle sing Beatles live. So we got back in our car and one and a half freaking hours later, we were out of the parking lot. I think Fed Ex parking is handled by idiot morons. In bed by 3am. Slept like a baby.

Day 113/365

Had a really great Day 113. Had dinner at Isabella's with Anne and John then we met up with Klu and went to the Cultural Arts Center to see The Diamond Dead. It was a "musical" with zombies. Very left winged, very, very funny. Loved it. From there, we headed to Guido's where we met up with even more friends and had a really nice night.
