Days 297/365

My cold is in full force now. Couldn't get out of bed until noon. I feel like I swallowed a watermelon. And I'm feeling like I did when I got that terrible bronchitis last year. I really can't have that again. Anyhoo...I made vegan chocolate peanut butter cups and vegan pizza. Both amazing.

Days 296/365

Happily, it snow a lot more than they predicted. I love snow! Walked downtown and had lunch at Nola then stopped into Bushwallers for a bit. We ran into some friends there. Came home, watched some Mad Men and drank some snow-garitas, then headed to Cafe 611 to see a friend's band.

Days 295/365

Mom and Dad came to Frederick tonight and we had dinner at The Orchard. They are getting ready to go live in Florida for a few months and I will miss them! After, we came back to our house, where Tyler had fun cuddling with his grandpa.

Days 294/365

Miss Tess made it back to Frederick finally. Went to Nola last night and had a great, great time.

Days 293/365

Came home today and found one of our shutters on my front porch. I guess that wind storm the other night did some damage we didn't know about. Wonder who found it and brought it home.

Days 292/365

Days 291/365

Celebrated Klu's birthday. Had a blast. Maybe too much of a blast. Suffered this morning, but it was worth it!

Days 287/365

Happy Birthday Baby!! I love my hubby more than words could ever say. I'm the luckiest girl in the world. And even luckier now that we've discovered vegan candy bars at Firestone's Market!!

Days 286/365

My coolio friend Geri hosted a Thing Party at Bushwaller's. We got rid of some things we didn't need anymore, and we scored a CD and a coat in the deal. She also collected food items for the hungry, because she is awesome like that. Here she is with her honey and here I am with mine.

Days 285/365

Onions and garlic make my kitchen happy.

Days 284/365

My husband is a good man. He took the poochies out for a looong walk, even though it was POURING rain outside. Maggie, btw, looks extra adorable when wet. This picture doesn't do her any justice.

Days 283/365

Steve had never used the drive thru teller at Chevy Chase before today. He looks so happy, now that he has mastered it.

Days 282/365

Days 281/365

Hung out a Nola tonight to see some live music. It was alright. On the way home, walked past the children's clothing store and wondered why they think these creepy mannequins will help them sell clothes.

Days 280/365

Had dinner at Cacique with work folk to say goodbye to some consultants that have been working for us. Here is Joe, playing with his napkin. Sadly, this is the only picture I took all day, so Ima postin' it.

Days 279/365

Been playing in the kitchen A LOT since the start of the new year. Tonight it was risotto and baby bellas on a bed of spinach. So, so good. Happy we have some risotto left over!

Days 278/365

Stopped by Cara's last night to wish her a Happy Birthday and Murphy was there to do the same. Here he is saying hello!

Days 277/365

Who says you can't have yummy mac and cheese* without the cheese? Not me. This was delicious!!

*No animals were harmed in the making of this macaroni and "cheese".

Days 276/365

Can't wait until fruit is in season again. Although this fruit ain't half bad.

Days 275/365

Went to see a play (Carrie Potter) at the Cultural Arts Center last night with the girls (and Barry). Forgot my real camera, so I had to use my phone, which takes crappy pictures since there is no flash. Here is Geri, looking beautiful, even in a crappy shot. BTW, the play was so funny! So glad I went.

Days 274/365

Who wouldn't want to find this outside their back door?

Days 273/365

Went to bed and hadn't taken a pic yet. So Steve got to be the pic. Doesn't he look happy about it.

Days 272/365

Tyler took almost every toy out of his toy box one at a time and made a pile to lie in. He loves to play.

Days 271/365

A wok on the stove means good things. Tonight it meant tofu lettuce wraps. So good, I wish I could eat it again!

Days 270/365

Almost the end of the day and I haven't taken a picture yet. So I look around and see this cutie pie.

Days 269/365

Woke up and it was soooo cold out. Decided to make some butternut squash soup. Which I started as I was deciding what to eat for breakfast. Not sure why I had to start so early, but I did. Well, it started a day in the kitchen. Steve made an amazing chipotle chili and some home made bread. We had a great time together in the kitchen.

Days 268/365

Jake is a cuddle bug.

Days 267/365

Anne gave Maggie a new toy, which she LOVES. Which also means that Tyler has made it his mission in life to steal it from her.
